A clearer log of where work takes you.
Record trip dates, purpose, vehicle and distance while the details are fresh. Keep the evidence behind a business-use allocation instead of guessing at the end of the year.
For Trades, mobile professionals and people with work travel.
Record purpose as well as distance
Two trips of the same length can have different purposes. A client visit, a supply run and ordinary commuting should not be treated as interchangeable. The vehicle workspace lets you keep trip details together. Use consistent vehicle names and meaningful descriptions, and check that opening and closing odometer readings are in the right order.
Review the business share
A logbook helps explain an allocation between business and private use, but it does not decide which method you can use. The right treatment depends on country, employment situation, vehicle and the applicable period. TaxBot helps organise the evidence; you need to confirm which journeys qualify and which expenses or distance methods are appropriate.
Make the record part of your routine
A mobile consultant may record a trip after each visit. A building business may review weekly supply runs against job notes. A household with a shared car may need to distinguish drivers and purposes carefully. Keep fuel, servicing and other evidence where relevant, and avoid counting both an unsupported distance claim and the same actual costs.

Questions
Is every workday trip claimable?
No. Ordinary commuting, reimbursement and the purpose of travel can affect eligibility. A log records facts; it does not approve a claim.
Can I track more than one vehicle?
Keep vehicle details and trip records distinct in the vehicle workspace so evidence is attributable to the right vehicle.
