Turn a year of records into a useful conversation.
Review summaries and exports built from the information you have recorded. Choose a period, inspect the detail and prepare a clearer handover to the people helping with your finances.
For Individuals, advisers and small to mid-sized businesses.
Choose the question before the report
A report is easier to use when you know what it is meant to answer. You may be checking a quarter’s spending, preparing a year-end handover or comparing recorded income with costs. Select the relevant date range and make sure the source records use consistent dates and currency. A partial period should not be compared with a full year without explanation.
Trace a total to its records
TaxBot’s reporting tools summarise recorded information, so missing or duplicated inputs remain important. Investigate unexpected changes by returning to receipts, transactions or invoices. Keep personal allocations and reimbursements clear. A polished report is not evidence that every underlying item was checked or that the report is a certified financial statement.
Share the right level of detail
An employee might prepare a small set of relevant records; a freelancer might organise income and expense summaries; a business may need regular internal reviews. Use the available export format for the recipient’s needs and protect downloaded copies. Include a short explanation of missing items or unresolved assumptions so another person can continue the review without guessing.
Before you begin
- Purpose and reporting period
- Reviewed source records

Exports reflect recorded inputs and available report scope. They are not audited statements, a guarantee of compliance or automatic filings.

Questions
Why does my report differ from my bank balance?
The period, account scope, unpaid invoices, transfers and record timing may differ. Reconcile the source records before assuming either figure is wrong.
Are exported files still protected by my account?
A downloaded copy is outside the app’s account controls. Store and share it carefully.
